The Drachenhaut (dragon skin) stretches like a bridge, forming a mini-roof over the thighs from the waist to the handlebars. This rain gear is based on the principle of sustainability, using the minimum amount of material, weight, and time for putting it on and taking it off. What is the idea behind the Drachenhaut?

Do you know that feeling—freezing in the office for two hours in wet jeans just because you were too vain to put on a poncho or didn't want to invest the time to put on rain trousers?

We know that too, and that’s how the idea came about one day to repurpose our large tent, which had been broken in a severe storm and was waiting to be upcycled, into a leg rain cover.

The basic idea: You’re already wearing a good jacket, but your legs/thighs still get wet, even on short trips. This "old" cyclist problem is now simply and quickly solved with the Drachenhaut—it is the rain protection for your legs.

Who needs the Drachenhaut?
Drachenhaut is the cool leg rain protection for urban cyclists, i.e., anyone who travels short distances and doesn't want to spend much time putting on and taking off rain gear.

You already have a jacket—the Drachenhaut complements it in a resource-efficient way to get you to your destination with dry legs. Its advantage is that it is very quick to use.

How do you use the Drachenhaut?

You can have the Drachenhaut in place in no time: it is tied around the waist like an apron using a Velcro fastener. Then, you attach the lower loops to the handlebars. You can simply slide the elastic loops over the right and left handlebar grips. However, some prefer to attach the loops to the two brake levers. The loops will open in the event of a fall because they are equipped with a Velcro fastener.
