It also replaces a (waste) heap of beverage cartons. These still contain plastic caps, and the recycled content is often only around 36%. Furthermore, it is possible for food in these beverage cartons to react with the packaging, potentially causing us to ingest chemicals.
Our nut milk bag is made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, which comes from a fair-trade project in Kyrgyzstan. The bag is produced in cooperation with the Elbewerkstätten in Hamburg. This allows us to support work for people with special needs.
