Who is Banksy?
This illustrated story goes in search of answers to street art's greatest mystery.
World-famous yet anonymous – only the street art phenomenon Banksy manages to embody this contradiction. Is there a man, a woman, or even a collective behind these poignant works, usually accompanied by a clear political undertone?
The protagonists of this fully illustrated graphic novel, a girl and a boy, trace the life and work of Banksy as if in a documentary film: from his first graffiti works in Bristol and London to the international spread of his sensational motifs and on to museum exhibitions and record-breaking auctions. Structured chronologically, with flashbacks and flash-forwards, the book explores Banksy's artistic career, his political and social stance, and the numerous theories regarding his identity.
