Speech is silver, silence is golden! But not in this game - here it’s all about guessing the funniest and, at times, most hackneyed phrases as quickly as possible.
Be a smart fox and at least as fast as lightning
This witty guessing game is all about playing with idioms. One player reads out a card from one of the 6 different categories, and for everyone else, it means: let’s get down to business!
The first to recognize the phrase being searched for scores points and pulls ahead of their opponents on the box, which doubles as the game board. Naturally, the phrases are distorted in various ways and are not that easy to identify. Sometimes, for example, the phrase is poorly translated into English, and sometimes it is artistically acted out by a fellow player - it’s not that easy to come up with the right solution. But stay calm and keep your ears pricked, and the title for the most cunning phrase fox will be as good as yours!
The rules are explained in a flash and the fun can start right away!
How to play:
- Each player takes turns reading a card.
- The color of the phrase card indicates which of the 6 categories it comes from. For example, key words in the phrase are omitted or swapped.
- The goal in every category is the same: guess the phrase as quickly as possible, before everyone else.
- The first person to call out the right solution gets points and gets to move their fox forward on the game board.
- The first to reach the finish line wins.
