Enamel is a wonderful material for camping and outdoor activities! The contents of the mug can be heated on any type of stove or heat source: gas, electric, or induction stovetops, in the oven, or over an open fire.
Your enamel mug consists of a steel core coated with enamel (a glass composition). This makes the mug robust, but still sensitive to impact, as the glass coating can chip if it hits hard edges.
