Enamel is a wonderful material for camping and outdoor activities! The contents of the mug can be heated on all types of stoves and heat sources: gas, electric and induction stoves, in the oven, or over an open fire.
Your enamel mug consists of a steel core coated with enamel (a glass composition). Therefore, while the mug is robust, it is still sensitive to impact, as the glass coating can chip on hard edges.
