Arguably the most extraordinary Opinel we carry. For the N°10 Shiori, Opinel has collaborated with the traditional Japanese forge Nigara Hamono—a workshop with over 350 years of Tsugaru forging expertise. The blade, made of multi-layered VG7 stainless steel (63 HRC), is hand-hammered (Tsuchime): the irregular surface not only looks spectacular, but also prevents moist food from sticking to the blade. The flamed maple handle shimmers like tiger stripes, while the matte black Virobloc ring provides a sharp contrast. Delivered in an elegant wooden box—a true collector's item and a foldable chef's knife in one.
