The No. 10 Shiori is the result of a collaboration between Opinel and Nigara Hamono, famous in Japan for its Tsugaru-Uchihamono cutlery, as well as Atsuko Totsuka-Blanchet, the founder of Shiori, who selects items made by Japanese craftsmen that are adapted to French everyday culture.
The blade of this exceptional knife is made of multi-layered stainless steel: VG7. The handcrafted hammering, known as "Tsuchime," gives the knife an irregular surface that prevents moist food from sticking to the blade. It offers an excellent cut and has an edge that lasts a long time.
The handle is made of flamed maple, a light and shimmering wood.
The locking ring has a matte black finish.
