A wild night. A dead writer. And Ms. Schmidt’s chatty parrot. What happened? Working together as a team, the players are the first to investigate the scene of a mysterious crime. But are the vague witness statements and evidence enough to reconstruct the sequence of events? Skillful combination of clues, a good nose for investigation, and the right questions can help. Will the investigators manage to solve the case?
A total of three exciting murder cases and plenty of thrills await the players in this crime game. Everything that might help in the investigation and resolution of each case can be found in the case file, the witness statements, and the pieces of evidence. Sounds simple, right? If only there wasn't a catch: the investigation team doesn't always have access to all the clues. And since taking notes is forbidden, everyone must rely on a good memory and even better deductive skills. Will the players still manage to answer all the questions and successfully complete the investigation, or will they follow a false lead?
The entire game material for "Unter Schock" remains undamaged. While the players will know the solutions to the cases after successfully finishing, the game can easily be passed on as a gift, lent out, or played again.
How to play:
- The players choose a case and then read the case file and the four investigation questions out loud.
- The team lays out the corresponding cards containing witness statements and pieces of evidence in a specific grid, face down on the table.
- The cards are turned over one by one to gather statements and examine evidence. But be careful: only three cards may be viewed at any one time, and notes are strictly forbidden!
- The goal is to answer at least three of the four investigation questions together to solve the case.
- The fewer cards used to solve the case, the better the investigation team's performance.
